As a dog owner in Kosciusko County, Indiana, you’re in for a treat! There’s a plethora of dog-friendly places for you to discover with your furry companion. From parks and hiking trails to restaurants and shops, there’s an abundance of locations where you can bring your dog along for the ride. Regardless of whether you’re a resident or simply passing through, you’re certain to find numerous welcoming settings where you and your pup can relish some quality bonding time together.
We’ve made a guide to dog-friendly attractions in K-County. This may not be a complete list and can change so be sure to contact the business before bringing your dogs if you’re unsure. This list does not include information for service animals.
While these businesses allow dogs, please keep pets on leashes and clean up after them at all of these places.
Cerulean Restaurant
The Garden at Winona is a seasonal outdoor restaurant owned by Cerulean. It’s located in the Village at Winona. They even have hand-crafted water bowls available and carabiners attached to each picnic table for leashes. From artisan burgers and dishes to their rotating tap selection and events, they have everything you need to celebrate summer.
Syracuse Artisan and Farmers Market
Shop for beautiful displays of locally grown produce, flowers, baked goods, and art. Located directly off of State Route 13 in the heart of town, residents and visitors come together on Saturdays from May through September to celebrate local food and art in the park.
Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe & Coffee Bar
Creighton’s has outdoor seating where pets are allowed. Savor farm fresh eggs, handcrafted food, fresh coffee, and homemade favorites with a modern twist is what you will find in this rustic farm-style atmosphere.
North Webster Town Park and Beach
The North Webster Town Park and Beach is located on the shore of Lake Webster. They have signage for rules about dogs. There is a small sandy beach, a swing for adults, a picnic shelter that is used to host various musical activities as well as picnics, and public piers to bring in boats. Next to the park is the official dock of the Dixie Sternwheeler and Lakeview Pizza King Restaurant. It’s a great place to relax!
Tippy Creek Winery
Kosciusko County’s first winery opened in June 2016. They have an outdoor area where dogs are allowed. Wine is blended and bottled on-site. There is a large retail area to sip wine on the couches beside the beautiful fireplace. Over 14 wines to select from sweet to dry. You can try wine slushies, wine flights, and do tastings. Go to the outdoor patio with cornhole boards and live music.
One Ten Craft Meatery
One Ten Craft Meatery is a restaurant, meat market, and banquet facility located in downtown Warsaw, offering local, fresh products from farms in and around Indiana and specializing in unique wines paired with a locally sourced, Midwestern seasonal menu. They have an outdoor dining area where dogs are allowed. One Ten Craft Meatery focuses on simplicity and sustainability. The market is open during lunch and dinner hours. Go graze local with them!
Winona Lake Limitless Park, Beach, and K21 Splash Pad
Catch some rays and enjoy the lake’s designated swimming area. All dogs are welcome, however, they must be on a paved path, Greenway, or sidewalk. No dogs are allowed in the playground, grass, or beach areas. There are tennis courts, a splash pad, a playground, a beach area, pavilions and tables for picnics, and lots of beautiful trees and grassy areas – perfect for your family outing. You can rent canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, and paddleboards – hourly or daily.
Light Rail Cafe and Roaster
Light Rail Café & Coffee Roaster, in Winona Lake, serves locally sourced ingredients and coffee beans purchased straight from the farmers who grow them. They allow dogs in their outdoor dining area. From breakfast to lunch and dinner or catering enjoy outside and lakeside dining, or get it to go.
Port Winona and Market
Port Winona allows dogs on their porch and in their outdoor dining area. You can enjoy our products on the go or in our cafe! Port Winona Wine & Market is a service-oriented wine shop & beer shop with a marketplace for meats, cheeses, and small grocery items. In addition to helping you find the perfect bottle from our shelf; they offer classes and tastings to expand your knowledge. Cheers!
The Igloo Ice Cream Shop
The Igloo is an ice cream shop with over 31 hand-dipped flavors, soft serve, and a variety of shakes and sundaes. They are a walk-up shop with a side pavilion. They allow dogs on leashes and also offer two different “pup cups”. One is called Mindy Cup (vanilla ice cream with a bone) and the Coop Scoop ( vanilla ice cream, bone, and peanut butter).
Three Crowns Coffee
Located in a renovated car repair garage, Three Crowns Coffee is a unique venue for experiencing specialty coffee in its finest forms. Focusing on pour-over brewing and espresso drinks with a twist on the traditional, the coffee house fosters a rich café culture offering ethically sourced, single-origin, locally roasted coffees. They have outdoor seating where dogs are allowed.
Ritter’s Frozen Custard
Ritter’s serves delicious custard and a variety of flavors. They have outdoor seating where dogs are allowed.
The Village at Winona
The Village at Winona is a thriving community nestled on the shores of beautiful Winona Lake. Dogs are allowed in the Village as long as they are on leashes and you clean up after them. Come for a day of shopping, dining, biking, and fun. The Village is home to numerous shops, outdoor appeal and equipment, home decor, everyday grocery needs, services, and eateries. You’ll find a delightful array of retail gifts along with a variety of dining options. The Village also hosts numerous cultural and entertainment events throughout the year

Lake City Greenway
A multi-use trail in and around the City of Warsaw and the Town of Winona Lake. Dogs are allowed as long as they have leashes and you clean up after them. The Greenway includes Beyer Farm Trail, Chinworth Bridge Trail, Krebs Trailhead Park, and the Heritage Trail of Winona Lake.
Kosciusko County Farmer’s Market
The Kosciusko County Farmers Market has served Warsaw and the surrounding area since 1976. With a wide range of products from Kosciusko County residents, the market represents the best of fresh, local vegetables, fruits, meat, and eggs. Also offering a broad array of unique crafts and jewelry, shoppers can find just the right item for a delicious meal, a perfect gift for a friend, or a treat or accessory for themselves.
Syracuse-Wawasee Trail
Come explore on the Syracuse-Wawasee trails! This more than 11-mile network of walking/bicycling trails meanders around the town of Syracuse, around Syracuse Lake, and Lake Wawasee, Indiana’s largest natural lake. Use the trails to visit the community center, athletics complex, wetlands, history museum, downtown shops, parks, and more!
Flavor Freeze of Warsaw
Flavor Freeze, a seasonal ice cream shop, has made us all scream for frozen treats. Everything from sodas and slushes to soft-serve creations and homemade hand-dipped goodness served in cones, cups, sundaes, flurries, and more. Make sure to leave room for lunch or dinner too, with a variety of burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, sides, and snacks.
Joe’s Ice Cream Supreme
