Kosciusko County has many trails for walking, running, or cycling.

If you’re wanting a casual trail in the woods, a more challenging mountain bike trail, or a scenic trail around the lake, there’s a trail for you.

Winona Lake Trails (9.7 miles)

Winona Lake Trails, Winona Lake, Ind.

The Winona Lake Trail is a challenging mountain bike couse. It runs through the woods at Winona Lake and around the Cherry Creek. Ride uphill climbs, quick descents, and fun, flat sections. The Winona Lake Trail also has a group that works to keep the trail in good condition.

Beyer Farm Boardwalk Trail (1.2 miles)

Beyer Farm Boardwalk Trail, Warsaw, Ind.

The Beyer Farm Boardwalk Trail is part of the Lake City Greenway it’s a scenic trail that’s a favorite for running, walking, and cycling. The trail is located on the edge of Pike Lake in Warsaw and leads through woods and wetlands and connects to the Pike Lake beach and Lucerne Park.

Syracuse-Wawasee Trails (11 miles)

Syracuse-Wawasee Trails, Syracuse, Ind.

This trail has views of Lake Wawasee. The trail runs through the town of Syracuse connecting the community center, wetlands, history museum, downtown shops, parks, and more. The trail is pet friendly walk or bring your bike. There is parking at the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum.

Old Chinworth Bridge Trail (1.9 miles)

Also part of the Lake City Greenway, the Chinworth Bridge trail lets visitors ride over the Tippecanoe River. This historic iron bridge dates to 1897 and provides a peaceful getaway. The trail is perfect for walkers, runners, and cyclists and includes two historic bridges and a picnic area.

Heritage Trail (1.8 miles)

Heritage Trail, Winona Lake, Ind.

The Winona Lake part of the Lake City Greenway, the paved trail runs through the town of Winona Lake, along Winona lake, and through the woods, connecting the Winona Lake park, beach, and splash pad, and the Grace College campus. Enjoy scenic views, tranquil getaways, and fun for the whole family. It features artwork that interprets attributes of the heritage of Winona Lake.

Need a Bike?

If you need a bike to enjoy all the trails in Kosciusko County, stop by one of the many rental services. The Warsaw and Winona Lake area has a bike share program that allows visitors and locals to pick up bikes at different locations and then return them to any other rental location. The Trailhouse Village Bicycles shop in the Village at Winona also has bike rental services.
